Celebrating World Ukulele Day

Description: Aficionados of the Ukulele met at the ANAF Club for a strum along to celebrate World Ukulele Day. Players of all ages and abilities were welcome. The Ukulele, a small guitar-like instrument, is usually associated with Hawaii. According to Queen Lili?uokalani, the last Hawaiian monarch, the name means "the gift that came here", from the Hawaiian words uku (gift or reward) and lele (to come). The event organizers also took the opportunity to announce Guelph's first ukulele festival coming to the Royal City on September 30th, visit www.royalcityukefest.com
