Viola Desmond Tribute

Description: Black rights activist Viola Desmond, who was jailed for defiantly sitting in the "whites only" section of a Nova Scotia film house, will be the first Canadian woman to be featured on Canada's $10 bill.  Flex We Talent Theatre company will present “The Viola Desmond Story”. Musical performance by artist, producer and impresario Andrew Craig will follow the presentation of the "The Viola Desmond Story". Jerry Prager will present "Before the Roof was Raised: The Life and Death of Reverend Junius B. Roberts". Doors open at 6:30 pm, event starts at 7:00 pm. $20 per person - includes one (1) drink ticket
