Talk as if Climate Change Matters

Description: Communicating climate change to motivate action in the general public has been a challenge. The scientific community has provided more and more evidence that action needs to happen now. But the current approach has caused many in the broader society to feel paralyzed into inaction. There needs to be a shift in the dialogue, and this is just what Dr. Louise Comeau did at the Talk as if Climate Change Matters event. Joined by Tim Campbell, Isa Chvostek, Karen Farbridge and Michael Plater- Findlay, the speakers shared what social science teaches us on how to talk about climate change; and that values, ethics, and compassion, more than facts, are the key to success.
