Guelph Book Bash Festival

Description: Bibliophiles and bookworms were in seventh heaven at the Guelph Book Bash Festival, an annual celebration of the books published by Guelph and area authors over the previous year. More than 30 authors were on hand, selling their books, signing copies and also chatting with guests. Joining the authors were many of Guelph's micro-presses, bookstores, libraries, cultural groups, and literacy organizations - all the people who help make up a great local book culture in Guelph. In addition, Vocamus Writers Community launched its annual Rhapsody anthology, a collection of poetry by area authors. The event was a free, with a donation to Action Read, which provides literacy programs in the community. Find out more at www.vocamus.net
